Irish Barbecue Pork Chops Recipe

Enjoy the taste of summer with our delicious barbecue pork chops on the bone recipe! Tender, juicy, and tasty, these chops are marinated, then grilled to achieve a smoky, caramelised finish. Perfect for oven baking, grilling, or firing up the BBQ. Serves four people.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey, crushed garlic, smoked paprika, onion powder, ground black pepper, and salt until well combined.
  2. Place the pork chops in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork chops, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 63°C.
  4. Alternatively, preheat the oven to 190°C. Place the pork chops on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 63°C.
  5. For slow-cooking, place the pork chops in a slow-cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until tender and fully cooked.
